Aptamirror

Grab, mutate, cut and join RNA strands to match a target structure. Aptamirror’s untimed folding puzzles launch November 3 on Windows.

Read article

Aptamirror asks you to reshape an RNA strand until it matches a target structure. You can grab parts of the strand, mutate a base, cut it apart or join pieces together. The puzzle is deciding which of those changes brings the structure closer to the ghost target, rather than making an impressive-looking knot.

Early levels introduce the tools separately; later puzzles ask you to combine them. You can take your time, reset and experiment, then chase a solution with fewer moves if you want a cleaner result. No biology knowledge is required. Stellar Genesis Games' puzzle game is scheduled for November 3 on Windows.
