Crit Pick Blog
Everything Crit Pick publishes lands here first — one chronological stream of guides, builds, quizzes and opinions about the games worth your evening. No sponsors, no filler, and a score only where the game was actually played.
Every post, newest first
What you will find
Four kinds of post share this feed. They are written to be useful on the first read — the answer near the top, the reasoning under it, and the game version at the bottom so you know whether it still applies.
Guides that answer the actual question
Where a Pal spawns, what a work suitability is good for, which RimWorld mod is still maintained. Each guide is written against a specific game version and says so at the bottom, so you know whether it still applies.
6 guides · 5 tier lists
Builds you can play tonight
Guild Wars 2 open world builds are written for people who want to press buttons and survive, not people optimising a golem benchmark. Every build lists the gear, the traits and the reason it works.
6 build guides · GW2 builds library
Quizzes that commit to an answer
The class quizzes ask how you like to play and then name one class — not a shortlist. Black Desert Online covers all 32 classes and tells you whether Awakening or Succession suits you.
4 quizzes · all quizzes
Hot takes, defended
Opinion pieces that argue a position instead of hedging it, and news write-ups that separate what a studio announced from what it merely implied. Reviews carry a score only where the game was actually played.

How it is organised
This feed is chronological. Everything else on the site is a different cut of the same posts — by game, by type, or by release date.
Posts are grouped by game
The Palworld hub collects the full Paldex plus base and breeding guides, RimWorld gathers colony guides, mods and lore, and Guild Wars 2 holds builds and guides.
Paldex entries have their own stream
All 288 Pal pages live on the Paldex and are kept out of this feed on purpose — otherwise they would bury everything else. There are a lot of Pals.
Two directories sit above the feed
The all games page lists every game covered so far and how deeply, and the release timeline tracks what is coming and when.
How a post gets made
Four things are true of every post here, and they are the reason some games are covered slowly and some not at all.
Written by one person
Crit Pick is a solo project by Isabella Quilez, who goes by Corgi Summoner online — a game dev grad who took a wrong turn into SEO and would rather write about games than pretend to be neutral about them. There are no sponsorships and no paid reviews. If something here is wrong or out of date, the contact page is the fastest way to say so, and About has the rest.
The blog, answered
What is on the Crit Pick blog?
Guides, build guides, tier lists, quizzes, reviews and news for the games Crit Pick covers — 41 posts in this stream so far, newest first. Palworld, RimWorld, Guild Wars 2 and Black Desert Online have the most.
Why are the Paldex pages not in this feed?
Because there are 288 of them and they would bury everything else. They live on the Paldex instead, which is a filterable grid rather than a chronological list.
Which games does Crit Pick cover?
Nineteen at the moment. Guild Wars 2, RimWorld, Palworld, Black Desert Online and Hytale have full hubs; the rest are tracked as upcoming games or covered in a single review. The all games page shows which is which.
Are the reviews sponsored?
No. There are no sponsorships and no paid reviews on Crit Pick, and nothing here is written in exchange for a key or a payment. A review only carries a score when the game was actually played.
How do I know whether a guide is still current?
Every guide names the game version it was written against at the bottom of the page, and carries a last-updated date. If the version is older than the patch you are on, treat the details as a starting point rather than gospel.
Do I need an account to read anything?
No. Every post, quiz and tool on the site is free and open, with nothing behind a login. Subscribing only adds an email when something new goes up.
Post, Pal and game counts on this page were last checked on 12 August 2026 and are updated by hand — the feed below is always the live list.
