Emberville
Fight creatures, rescue people and rebuild a town inside a magical prison. Emberville starts single-player Early Access on October 27.
Read articleYou wake up inside a magical underground prison, fight its creatures and help rebuild Emberville. The people you rescue bring more than another face to town: they can teach you trades and skills, linking exploration and combat to the work you can do back home.
Combat happens in real time, with positioning, timing and weapon-bound combos shaping how you fight. You can use melee weapons, ranged attacks or magic, then gather resources and craft equipment as you develop the character. The town's recovery gives those trips out a purpose beyond finding the next enemy.
What Early Access includes
The October 27 launch is single-player and begins with the first major biome. Co-op is planned for 1.0; don't buy the Early Access launch expecting to play together. Cygnus Cross also places the first biome's final boss in a planned later update, rather than promising it on day one.
Progress from the public Steam Next Fest demo carries over into Early Access. Saves from the separate creator and press preview do not. If you've played one of those versions, that distinction matters before you decide whether to continue or start again.
Release and platforms
Cygnus Cross is developing and publishing Emberville. Early Access is planned for October 27, 2026 on Windows. This is the Early Access start, not the full 1.0 release; no exact 1.0 date is confirmed here.
