Cattiva
Where to catch Cattiva in Palworld, its base stats, work suitabilities, the Cat Helper carry-weight partner skill, active skills and drops.
Cattiva No. 002
Cattiva is the Neutral-element Pal at No. 002 — a pink, two-legged cat that struts around like it owns the Palpagos Islands and folds the instant anything pushes back. You catch it in the opening area, and it earns its keep as an early hauler more than a fighter.
Where to catch Cattiva
Cattiva roams the Windswept Hills starting plains — the same north-central grassland where you begin, around the first bases and fast-travel points. It shows up day and night.
It barely fights and often bolts the moment it spots you, so corner it, chip its health down, and throw a regular Pal Sphere. You can also hatch it from a Common Egg or buy one from a Pal Merchant.
Region: Windswept Hills · Time: day & night · Sphere: regular · Threat: none (it runs)
Stats & how they vary
Base values before IVs, passives and condensing. A flat 70/70/70 — Cattiva is an early-game worker, not a fighter, and it knows it: in the wild it spawns with the Coward passive (-10% attack).
Work & drops
Four level-1 jobs make Cattiva a jack-of-all-trades starter hand — useful at a base until stronger Pals arrive. Just don't be surprised to find it asleep on the job.
Red Berries — simple early food, and that's the whole haul. Cattiva's value is its labour and its carry-weight partner skill, not its loot.
Active skills
Cattiva learns a scrappy, mixed-element kit as it levels — a lot of flailing that slowly turns into real firepower.
How to breed Cattiva
Cattiva hatches from a Breeding Farm, and a large number of parent pairs produce it. The offspring inherits passive skills and fresh IVs — so a bred Cattiva easily beats anything you catch in the wild.
Both parents are Pals you'll already own in the opening hours. Breed to stack passives like Swift or Lucky onto a sturdier inventory mule.
The story of Cattiva
For all its swagger, Cattiva is a genuine weakling and a coward — it postures, picks fights it can't win, and bolts the instant one goes wrong. On the islands, being bested by something as feeble as a Cattiva is considered one of the more humiliating things that can happen to a person.
Paraphrased from Cattiva's in-game Paldeck entry.
Day 2. My Cattiva swaggered up to a Chikipi with twice its confidence and half its sense, threw exactly one punch, missed, and sprinted behind me. I am now its designated bodyguard.
Day 11. Assigned it to the mine. Came back to find it asleep — flat on its back, arms folded, snoring — on top of the ore it was meant to be carrying. I did not have the heart.
Day 20. Loaded it up as a pack cat for a long haul and something clicked. It trotted the whole way, chest out, thrilled to be useful. Turns out it just wanted a job it couldn't lose.
Cattiva, answered
Where do you catch Cattiva?
In the Windswept Hills, right around the starting plains — north-central, day or night. It barely fights back and tends to run, so corner it, weaken it, and throw a regular Pal Sphere.
What is Cattiva's partner skill?
Cat Helper — it rides along and raises your maximum carry weight (about +50 at level 1, more as you condense it). Catch or breed several and stack them for serious hauling.
Is Cattiva any good?
As a fighter, no — 70 across the board plus a built-in Coward passive. As an early base hand it is fine: four level-1 work jobs and a carry-weight boost that stays useful long after its stats stop mattering.
What does Cattiva drop?
Red Berries — simple early food. Nothing rare, so farm it for labour, not loot.
How do you breed Cattiva?
Put a valid pair in a Breeding Farm — there are many combinations, and the easiest is Lamball + Vixy. The hatched Cattiva inherits passive skills and IVs, so breeding builds a better one than the wild offers.
Can you ride Cattiva?
No, it isn't a mount — it's a small biped worker. For an early ride, look at Direhowl or Eikthyrdeer instead.
