Vixy No. 006

Neutral Size XS Not rideable Day & night
◇ Rarity · Common — an early-area regular

Vixy is the Neutral-element Pal at No. 006 — a small cream-and-orange fox that trots through the Windswept Hills day and night. It is a gentle early-game worker: assign it to a Ranch and its partner skill quietly digs Pal Spheres out of the ground while it gathers.

Partner skill
Dig Here! — while Vixy is assigned to a Ranch it periodically digs up items from the ground, so you get bonus loot on top of its normal gathering. Park one on ranch duty and it slowly pads out your storage for free.

Vixy roams the Windswept Hills starting plains — the same north-central grassland where you begin, around the first bases and fast-travel points. It shows up day and night.

It barely fights and often bolts the moment it spots you, so corner it, chip its health down, and throw a regular Pal Sphere. You can also hatch it from a Common Egg or buy one from a Pal Merchant.

Stats & how they vary

Base values before IVs, passives and condensing. A flat 70/70/70 — Vixy is an early-game gatherer, not a fighter. Its value is labour and its Ranch dig, not its damage.

Type matchup · Neutral
Strong vsNothing — Neutral is the one element with no offensive edge.
Weak vsDark hits Neutral Pals for extra damage.
HP 70 ATK 70 DEF 70 WORK 100
Base stat shape — even and low, tilted toward work.
IVsHidden HP/Attack/Defense rolls, locked in when you catch or hatch it — worth up to +30%. Catch a few and keep the best.
Passives0–4 traits (e.g. Swift, Ferocious, Lucky) — the biggest controllable swing, inherited through breeding. 1.0 adds powerful World Tree passives with trade-offs (e.g. +50% attack for weaker defense).
Mutation 1.0Breeding can rarely hatch a mutated Pal with higher stats and a unique passive skill. Deluxe Vegetable Cake raises the odds.
Awakening 1.0Spend Radiant Gems from the World Tree to push a favourite past its old stat ceiling.
CondenserFuse duplicates for ★1–★4: +5% per star, up to +20% to all stats, and a stronger partner skill.
LuckyPalworld's "shiny": rare, larger, always carries Lucky (+15% work speed & attack).

Work & drops

Work suitabilities
Gathering Lv 1Farming Lv 1

Two level-1 jobs — Gathering and Farming — make Vixy a tidy little Ranch hand early on, useful until stronger Pals arrive. Its Dig Here! skill is the real draw, not the work levels.

Drops
LeatherBone

Leather and Bone, one of each, every time — basic early crafting mats. Vixy's real worth is its Ranch dig and gathering, not its drop table.

Partner skill: free Pal Spheres

This is the real reason to keep a Vixy. Assigned to a Ranch, Dig Here! unearths items on a timer — and the headline item is a free Pal Sphere. Condensing Vixy raises both the amount and the sphere tier.

★1Pal Sphere ×1 · 59.5% · Arrow ×1 23.8% · Gold Coin ×10 11.9% · Bone 4.8%
★2Pal Sphere ×2 58.8% · Arrow 1–2 23.5% · Gold Coin ×20 11.8% · Bone 5.9%
★3Pal Sphere 2–3 47.1% · Mega Sphere ×1 11.8% · Arrow 2–3 23.5% · Gold Coin ×30 11.8%
★4Pal Sphere 2–3 35.3% · Mega Sphere 17.6% · Giga Sphere 5.9% · Arrow 3–4 23.5% · Gold Coin ×40 11.8%

Mind the difference: these are ranch outputs, not death drops. Kill a Vixy and you get Leather and Bone. Put one to work and it hands you spheres — which is why an early Vixy pays for itself long after its stats stop mattering.

Active skills

Vixy learns a mixed Neutral/Ground/Grass kit as it levels — light early hits that grow into genuinely heavy artillery by Lv 70.

Lv 1Air Cannon — quickly fires a burst of highly pressurized air.
Lv 7Bog Blast — hurls sticky mud that damages and slows.
Lv 15Power Shot — charges energy into a focused blast.
Lv 22Wind Cutter — fires a high-speed blade of wind straight at an enemy.
Lv 30Seed Machine Gun — fires a rapid volley of hard seeds.
Lv 40Power Bomb — charges a massive amount of energy before firing a large destructive ball.
Lv 50Pal Blast — charges destructive energy before firing a high-powered beam forward across a wide area.
Lv 70Holy Burst — creates a wide explosion of light at the enemy's location and around it.

Breeding combos

Vixy hatches from a Common Egg, and plenty of low-tier parent pairs produce it. You rarely need to — it roams the starting grasslands, so catching is faster.

Easiest Just catch it in the Windswept Hills Also hatches from a Common Egg

Breed only when you want specific passives like Work Slave or Lucky rolled onto a Ranch worker.

The story of Vixy

Its Paldeck entry does not undersell it: “The idol of Palpagos Island. If you bully a Vixy, you best be prepared to become enemies with the whole world.” A cute joke about a harmless fox — and a fair warning about how attached you get.

Vixy is the textbook first-week fox — common, harmless and endlessly handy around a base. It digs, it gathers, it farms a little, and it asks for almost nothing in return.

Out in the Windswept Hills it trots in the open day and night, easy to spot and easier to catch. Its alpha variant, Star of the Steppe, prowls the Hillside Cavern for anyone who wants a tougher fight and a better catch.

Field notes
— from the log of a Pal keeper

Day 2. Caught a Vixy in the tall grass north of camp. It came quietly, sniffed my boot, and immediately started digging a hole next to the campfire. I have decided this is a personality trait, not a problem.

Day 11. Put it on the Ranch. Within an hour it had unearthed two nails, a berry, and something I have chosen not to identify. Free loot for doing nothing. I am not complaining.

Day 20. It follows me into caves now, snapping little gusts of air at anything that lunges. Not a fighter, but it keeps the small stuff off me while I mine. A good, uncomplicated fox.

Vixy, answered

Where do you catch Vixy?

In the Windswept Hills grasslands, day or night, at low level — it spawns in the open and barely fights back, so weaken it and throw a regular Pal Sphere. It also appears in the Hillside Cavern and Isolated Island Cavern around level 6–13.

What is Vixy's partner skill?

Dig Here! — while Vixy is assigned to a Ranch it periodically digs items out of the ground, giving you bonus loot on top of its normal gathering.

Does Vixy give you Pal Spheres?

Yes — that is its whole appeal. On a Ranch, Vixy's Dig Here! skill unearths a Pal Sphere about 59% of the time, alongside Arrows and Gold Coins. Condense it and the yield climbs: Mega Spheres appear from three stars, Giga Spheres at four. Free spheres, indefinitely.

Is Vixy any good?

Not as a fighter — 70 across the board. As an early Ranch hand it is excellent: Gathering and Farming plus a free item-dig that quietly fills your storage.

How do you get Vixy?

Catch it in the starting grasslands, or hatch a Common Egg. It also breeds from many low-tier pairs if you want to fix specific passives.
