Steam Autumn Sale 2026 archive: 130 picks — sale ended

Steam Autumn Sale ended October 8, 2026. Archive of 130 picks across 11 genres; prices recorded October 1, 2026 are no longer current offers.

The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 ran from 1 to 8 October and ended at 10:00 PDT (19:00 CEST). I went through the sale genre by genre and kept 130 games: the best deals on big titles, plus the hidden gems that rarely make the front page. Every card shows what the game is, how Steam players rate it, and the sale price in US dollars and euros. This archive preserves the picks and price snapshot for PC and Steam Deck players; it does not list current offers.

The Autumn Sale at a glance

The Autumn Sale is one of Steam's four seasonal sales, and it is the short one. The 2026 sale ran for a single week, from 1 to 8 October, and moved from late November to early autumn in 2025, when it ran from 29 September to 6 October.

At the 1 October snapshot, the pattern was the same in most genres. Older titles sat at 70 to 90 percent off, while games with a release in the last two years tend to get smaller cuts, often 20 to 50 percent. Some big names were not discounted at all: Elden Ring, Black Myth: Wukong, Diablo IV, Factorio, Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silksong were full price. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was only 20 percent off. If a series you like is on sale, look at its bundle on the store page too: Steam bundles lower their price by what you already own, so completing a set is often cheaper than buying the missing games one by one.

A note on the prices: each card shows the US and German Steam price as I read them on 1 October. The discount percentage was identical in both stores for every game here, but the final price can differ by region, so check your own store before you buy. The rating on each card is the share of positive Steam user reviews across all languages. Cards marked hidden gem have fewer reviews but very high ratings.

Use your Steam wishlist to track anything from this archive that catches your eye. Check the current store page for today's price; the discounts shown below are historical.

RPG deals

Archive: all prices and discounts in this section were recorded on 1 October 2026 and are no longer current offers.

The headliners are Kingdom Come: Deliverance II at $23.99 / €23.99 and Cyberpunk 2077 at $17.99 / €17.99, two big open-world RPGs at a fraction of their launch price. Persona and Like a Dragon fans can fill gaps in both series for under $18 a game. Baldur's Gate 3 is only 30% off, but it is still the one I would buy if you have never played it. Further along the slider you will find small RPGs most front pages skip: Horizon's Gate, Roadwarden, Felvidek and Dawnsbury Days, all very well rated and most of them under ten. Sea of Stars is half price at $17.49 / €16.99, and Balrum at $3.74 / €3.74 is an old-school open-world RPG for less than a coffee.

Steam Autumn Sale FAQ

Is there an autumn sale on Steam?

Yes. The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 ran from 1 to 8 October and has ended. It is one of Steam's four seasonal sales, next to the Spring, Summer and Winter sales. Valve moved it from late November to early autumn in 2025, so older articles that put it around Thanksgiving are out of date. The 2026 sale lasted a single week.

When did the Steam Autumn Sale end?

It ended on 8 October 2026 at 10:00 PDT, which is 17:00 UTC and 19:00 CEST. The prices and discounts on this page were recorded on 1 October 2026 and are no longer current offers. Check Steam for current prices.

What are the Steam sale dates for the rest of 2026?

After the Autumn Sale, the next seasonal sale is the Winter Sale from 17 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. Steam Next Fest, the free demo event, runs from 19 October 2026, and Valve has already set the Summer Sale 2027 for 24 June to 8 July 2027. Valve publishes its sale calendar in advance, so these dates are fixed, though individual discounts are only known once a sale starts.

What is Steam's biggest sale?

The Summer and Winter sales are the long ones, at about two weeks each, and they usually get the most attention. The Autumn Sale is shorter at one week. Valve does not publish figures that rank the sales against each other, so "biggest" here means the longest and most discounted window, not a measured number.

Can I still use these Autumn Sale prices?

No. The Autumn Sale has ended, and this page preserves the 1 October 2026 price snapshot. Check the current Steam store page before buying. You can wishlist games for future discounts; no future price is guaranteed.

Which picks were in this Steam Autumn Sale archive?

For big games, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Baldur's Gate 3. For cheap picks with very high Steam ratings, Hades, Darkwood, TOEM and Titanfall 2. The genre sliders above have 130 picks in total, each with its recorded 1 October 2026 price and Steam rating. These are historical picks, not current offers.

Are Steam sale prices the same in every country?

The discount percentage is usually the same, but the final price is not. For every game on this page the US and German stores showed the same percentage off, while some final prices differed slightly because Steam uses regional pricing. The cards show both prices; check your own store for yours.

Prices, discounts and ratings come from each game's Steam store page in the US and German stores, read on 1 October 2026. Sale dates come from Valve's published sale schedule; the sale end time comes from Steam's store data. Ratings are the share of positive Steam user reviews across all languages and change over time.
