Your family farm helps pay for your adventures in Sword & Soil. You grow crops, catch fish and sell what you bring into town to buy weapons and armour. Cooking also gives you meals that restore health or provide buffs before you head out.

You control the fighting yourself. Enemies wind up before attacking, so spacing and stamina matter alongside your equipment. You choose a Warrior, Paladin, Monk or Wizard, each with its own moves and spells.

Solo developer Casey at Critbyte Studios has released a free Steam demo covering the first chapter, from the farm to a puzzle dungeon and its boss. It’s available on Windows and Linux, and your save carries into the full game on the same PC. The full game is still in development.
