What Athanasia is
You enter an abandoned South American research facility as Carmen Flores, trying to find out what happened to its missing people. Athanasia is a first-person horror game built around exploration and survival, with dinosaurs and other prehistoric threats moving through the same corridors.
You can hack computers, open locked routes and improvise distractions or traps from the things you find. The interesting part is having several ways through an encounter while your supplies are limited. Momentum Games explicitly points to System Shock and Dino Crisis as influences.
Early Access begins on 19 October 2026. The developer says that this version contains the first half of the game, with the remaining half still in development. A separate Steam demo is currently linked. This introduction is based on official information; we have not reviewed the release build.
