What Danchi Days is
You play twelve-year-old Hoshino Kanaoka, who returns to her Japanese hometown to spend time with her grandmother, now living with dementia. Danchi Days is an everyday adventure about reviving the summer festival and bringing the people of a housing complex together.
You invite neighbours, explore buildings and forests, browse the in-game internet and gather the offerings needed for the festival. Its Sense Games turn small observations into minigames, from listening to an unexpected sound to interacting with a plush toy. The story leaves room for difficult feelings alongside the comedy.
The full release is confirmed for 29 October 2026. The current Steam demo is available, but the developer plans to replace it with a shorter version on launch day. Demo saves will not carry into the full game. This is a source-based introduction, without a review score.
