What Fable is
You build a hero in Albion, then decide what kind of neighbour that hero becomes. Fable pairs third-person combat and exploration with a world that reacts to your choices. You can chase a larger adventure while buying a home, taking a job and getting entangled in the lives of the people around you.
Playground Games puts reputation at the centre of the role-playing. Your actions give people reasons to remember you, and different communities can see you differently. That makes the quieter decisions outside combat worth watching alongside the sword, magic and creatures.
The current Steam listing gives 23 February 2027 as the full release. This introduction covers the announced game, without a played-build verdict. No demo is linked on the main Steam listing.
