Genome Guardian 2
Genome Guardian 2: 1.0 / leaving early access. Building strange weapon combinations, then testing them in short survival runs.
What Genome Guardian 2 is
You build a nanobot, then send it into a microscopic shooting gallery. Genome Guardian 2 lets you choose the parts that determine how your machine moves and attacks, so the build is more than a weapon strapped to a generic survivor. Permanent research sits between the runs.
The hook is weapon chemistry. You combine DNA-based weapon types into hybrids, then combine those hybrids again. A spread weapon and an explosive weapon can become a blast shotgun; the next combination pushes the idea further. If your favourite part of a survival shooter is making an increasingly unreasonable contraption, this gives you something concrete to tinker with.
Alpherior confirms that the game has left Early Access. Steam lists the full release as 11 October 2026, and a separate demo is currently linked on the store. This introduction is based on the official listing and release announcement; we have not played the final build.
