Rooby is the Fire Pal at No. 026 — a small flame-antlered fawn that eats charcoal to stay healthy. It is a Common Kindling worker with a party skill built for Fire teams, and an early parent for the Gobfin Ignis breeding line.

Rooby ranges widely across the early map — the Sea Breeze Archipelago, Marsh Island, Forgotten Island and the Scars of War — day and night. It is passive and flees when it sees you.
It appears as a possible Alpha boss at the end of Hillside Cavern, and hatches from a Scorching Egg.

The story of Rooby
"Wild Rooby surprisingly never get sick. Eating one piece of charcoal a day, made by burning a branch, is the secret to its eternal health."
"Chief of the Herd" gets a folk-remedy backstory: Rooby never falls ill because it eats a daily piece of self-made charcoal. It is a small, wholesome bit of world-building — a fire deer with a health regimen — and it pairs neatly with Tiny Spark, the skill where Rooby keeps the rest of the herd standing too.
Day 6. A little deer with flames for antlers, minding its own business on the archipelago. Caught it with a Water Pal.
Day 9. Ran it behind a Fire team and the front-liners stopped folding so fast. The Defense buff is real.
Day 12. Paired it with a Flambelle in the party — one heals, one toughens. My Fire squad is suddenly hard to kill.
Day 15. Fed it a branch out of curiosity. The Paldeck was not lying about the charcoal.
