Your build starts with a pairing
Hero + companion
Your hero provides a unique power. Your companion opens a second elemental card pool, changing which combinations you can build towards.
Shop between fights
Open packs, recruit minions, upgrade cards and find artifacts. Your spending decisions shape what you can bring into the next battle.
Take control of the board
Fight rival heroes with their own cards and minions. Victories earn Blessings that improve later shops.

Heroes across six elements
There are twelve heroes. The official press kit groups them as follows:
- Fire: Tara, Taurok
- Ice: Elric, Fenris
- Earth: Ormund, Oakenguard
- Light: Lux, Lyra
- Shadow: Mortis, Corvus
- Mystic: Nettlewick, Kael
Backdraft review & video coverage

Fun minion builds, slow unlocks
I like the minions, the art and the build possibilities. I want more freedom to experiment and a smoother route into harder Hero Draft runs.
