Foxparks No. 029

Fire Size XS Not rideable Day & night
◇ Rarity · Common — your first flamethrower

Foxparks is the Fire fox at No. 029 — a timid little firestarter that can't quite control its own flames. Build its harness and it becomes your first flamethrower, strapped to your arm and breathing fire on command.

Partner skill
Huggy Fire — with the Foxparks Harness crafted, activating it turns Foxparks into a handheld flamethrower — it clamps onto your arm and sprays flame. For most players it's the earliest real fire weapon in the game.

Foxparks lives in the Windswept Hills starting plains (and shows up around the volcanic zone at higher levels), day and night. It's a fox, so it's timid — it flees the moment it spots you.

Approach quietly or soften it from range first, then throw a Pal Sphere. As a Fire Pal it hatches from a Scorching Egg, and higher-level ones lurk in the early caves.

Region: Windswept Hills (and volcano) · Time: day & night · Sphere: regular · Threat: low (it flees)

Work & drops

Work suitabilities
Kindling Lv 1

A single job — Kindling — but an important one: Foxparks lights your first furnace, forge and cooking pot. Every early base wants at least one.

Drops
LeatherFlame Organ

Leather for early gear, and Flame Organ (one or two per catch) — the key material for fire recipes and ammo. A reliable early source of both.

Active skills

Foxparks is nearly all Fire as it levels — fireballs, homing flame arrows, and a proper breath weapon by the end.

Lv 1Ignis Blast — hurls a fireball straight at an enemy.
Lv 7Bog Blast — hurls sticky mud at an enemy.
Lv 15Spirit Fire — fireballs that burst into smaller, spreading flames.
Lv 22Flare Arrow — looses three homing flaming arrows in succession.
Lv 30Ignis Breath — breathes a continuous stream of flame for sustained damage.
Lv 40Spirit Flame — sends out three pursuing balls of malice.
Lv 50Fire Ball — a giant flame ball that explodes over a wide area.

How to get more Foxparks

Catching is fastest — Foxparks is common all over the starter map. Breeding is where it earns its keep as a parent: it can be bred to create specialised Pals.

Fastest Just catch it (common) Cryst subspecies: Foxparks + Foxcicle

Foxparks + Foxcicle hatches the Ice-element Foxparks Cryst (found in the southwest of Feybreak Island, Lv 50+). Otherwise breed a Foxparks to pass on strong passives like Lucky for a harder-hitting fighter.

The story of Foxparks

Foxparks was born with fire it can't control — it chokes on its own breath and sneezes sparks, and those stray sneezes are blamed for a good share of the forest fires on the islands. It was also, fittingly, the very first Pal the world ever saw.

Paraphrased from Foxparks's in-game Paldeck entry.

Field notes
— from the log of a Pal keeper

Day 3. Foxparks sneezed near the woodpile. We no longer have a woodpile. I have relocated the concept of the woodpile.

Day 10. Strapped it to my arm for a cave run and it lit the whole place up, delighted. A nervous little fox that just wanted to be pointed at something. I keep it close and the kindling far.

Day 19. It's started curling up by the furnace at night to keep the coals warm. Best kindling worker I have, and it thinks it's getting away with a nap. It is.

Foxparks, answered

Where do you catch Foxparks?

The Windswept Hills starting plains, and around the volcanic zone at higher levels — day or night. It's timid and flees on sight, so approach quietly or soften it from range before your Pal Sphere.

What is Foxparks' partner skill?

Huggy Fire — with the Foxparks Harness crafted, it becomes a handheld flamethrower strapped to your arm. It's the earliest fire weapon most players get their hands on.

Is Foxparks good?

For an early Pal, yes. It has the best Attack of the opening starters, covers Kindling at your base, and its flamethrower harness carries you through the first caves — especially against Grass Pals.

What does Foxparks drop?

Leather and Flame Organ. The Flame Organ feeds your early fire recipes and ammo, so a few Foxparks are worth farming.

How do you get more Foxparks?

Catch them — Foxparks is common across the starter map. Breeding matters mainly to make the Ice subspecies Foxparks Cryst (Foxparks + Foxcicle), found in the southwest of Feybreak Island, or to pass strong passive skills to a better fighter.

Can you ride Foxparks?

No — it isn't a mount. It rides you, as a flamethrower, once you build the Foxparks Harness.
