News
30 October: progress fixes in Whisperwake Isles
Pawprint’s v1.1.3857679.0 notes list fixes for Dewple’s Waterfall Form unlock, Waterfall Climb progress, Gachapus photo identification and missing Irisalis Ultimate damage. They also close an issue that let players catch Whisperwake Isles Prismana in friends’ worlds. Do not plan a catch route around that exploit.
These are developer patch notes, not a test of every regional client. They do not establish new base stats or resolve uncertain English species aliases.
29 October: Part 2 launch-day announcement
Pawprint’s Japanese launch-day announcement introduces Whisperwake Isles, new story chapters and 32 species across 51 new Aniimo entries, alongside Halloween events. It announces Part 2 starting on 29 October. For regional service status and event deadlines, check the current in-game notice and the server-specific schedule; the Japanese announcement is not a live status page for Europe.

27 October: what to check before the October 29 update
Pawprint’s Part 2 notice confirms the October 29 update will open Whisperwake Isles and add new Prismana forms. Hypnyto’s Egg is in the free Companion Handbook track; the Perfect Potential Prismana Hypnyto Egg is in the paid Advanced track. Check that distinction before buying a pass. Meet the four regional Prismana forms; the older preview did not specify the Handbook tracks.
Before the Home season changes, check whether you still want Harvest Moon Set furniture. The set leaves the shop at the switch; the notice says it will return in a future season. Old seasonal currency and seeds convert, while the new Holo-Battle Sim stages are announced as permanent additions. The update is not live yet.
The Europe maintenance row lists 28 October, 22:00 UTC to 29 October, 07:00 UTC — 23:00 to 08:00 CET. Its start differs from the notice’s general UTC+8 introduction, so check the latest server notice before planning a session. Official 27 October update notice · Event calendar · Live-event list.
17 October: a Companion Handbook EXP boost
Extra Handbook EXP is announced for accounts below Handbook level 70, starting on 19 October at 06:00 CEST in Europe. Patch v1.0.3743667 also lists console menu fixes. The multiplier and end time are not given; the notice contradicts itself on Stage 4 reward availability. Server times and the reward-status caveat.
15 October: Home boost and an Egg Heist fix
Resource update v1.0.3732728.0 fixes an Egg Heist door that could remain locked after its key was consumed. It also adds Select All for Home facility batch acceleration with a controller and corrects Inferlupa's Prismana image in the Vein Abundance event. Restart the client to download it.
Harvest Gathering opens on 20 October at 22:00 CEST in Europe. The Home Season boost increases mutation rates for Moondew Radish and Waxing Moon Pepper and points from their products; no percentage or closing time is given. Server times and event details · Official patch notes.
Aniimo guides
What is Aniimo?
Aniimo is a free-to-play creature collector with an open world, made and published by Pawprint Studio (Pawprint Interactive Entertainment Pte. Ltd., Singapore). It launched worldwide on 16 September 2026 on PC, consoles and Xbox cloud gaming; the announced mobile release date was 23 September 2026. It runs on three server regions — Americas, Europe and APAC — and one account can hold characters on more than one of them.
Pawprint described the launch roster as “more than 200” Aniimo. Its public index and our Dex currently show different visible entry and form counts, so we are checking coverage before stating a complete total. Forms differ by element, role and traversal.
Cross-platform multiplayer is supported. Cross-progression has never been stated either way — if that matters to you, pick your platform as though it’s permanent.
The world of Idyll
You play a Pathfinder in Idyll, a world where the creatures are the point rather than the scenery. The map is divided into fifteen named regions — Beast Fang Ridge, Berylline Causeway, Blitzwood, Crescent Bay, Driftwise Meadow, Echoback Landing, Forest of Falling Stars, Mistwoods, Nimbus Fields, Rosetower Woods, Russet Highlands, Sea of Flowers, The Argent Strait, Tideblossom Coast and Zephyrus Landbridge — and each one has its own roster.
Region matters more than it does in most collectors, because a weather state called Prismana Flow moves between them. While it sits over a region, that region’s rainbow form appears far more often. Some species also split into regional variants with a different element and habitat from the parent line, so “which Aniimo lives here” is a real question rather than a flavour note.
Your own corner of it is Homeland, a farm and base you grow, gather and build on. Since the launch update it spans multiple areas, with house building and furniture layouts you can share by code.
How Aniimo plays
Twining
The system Aniimo is built around. You sync with your creature and use its abilities instead of riding a mount, and how you cross the world depends on which form you’re twined with. In combat it gives you two modes: Command, where the creature fights on its own, and Twine, where you drive its moves directly.
Catching
You catch creatures with Aniipods in the open world. Better catching items can improve the result; our pay-to-win guide compares the paid items with their free alternatives.
Potential and traits
Potential and traits affect the quality of a catch. Finding the form you want and getting it at high potential are separate goals. The catch-quality breakdown explains where money can change that process.
Resonance
Resonance develops an individual Aniimo through training. The beta rune system was removed before launch, so older rune-farming advice does not describe the launch system.
Prismana
Prismana are special forms associated with Prismana Flow. For the free choices and which one suits your team, use our free Prismana guide. Dates and rotating windows are on the live-events page.
Egg Heist
The three-player PvPvE mode, which picked up a Chaos Mode for launch. Our Egg Heist guide explains Team Mode and banking your first egg. Alongside it sit roaming Alpha bosses and a set of Omega bosses unlocked through the Journey quests.
Numbers and thresholds for these systems are being checked against the live game — this section says what each system is, not what it costs. The detail follows in the individual guides.

Aniimo questions, answered
When did Aniimo come out?
16 September 2026 on PC, consoles and Xbox cloud gaming, at 10:00 UTC+8 — that’s 02:00 UTC. The mobile version follows on 23 September 2026.
Is Aniimo free?
Yes. It’s free-to-play on every platform. There are paid packs and a Battle Pass on top of that.
Is Aniimo a gacha game?
You catch creatures in the world rather than pulling them from character banners. Paid outfit draws are a separate part of the shop. See the gacha guide for the documented draw and shop model.
What is Twining?
Syncing with your creature to move and fight using its abilities. It replaces mounts, and in combat it lets you either leave the creature to fight on its own or take direct control of its moves.
Which platforms is Aniimo on?
PC via Steam and Epic, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox cloud gaming, and from 23 September iOS and Android. Cross-platform multiplayer works; cross-progression has never been confirmed.
Is Aniimo on Game Pass?
Not in the catalogue — it doesn’t need to be, it’s free. Game Pass members get in-game benefits instead, as a monthly reward pack.
How many Aniimo are there?
Pawprint described the launch roster as “more than 200” Aniimo. Its current public index and our Aniimo Dex show different visible entry and form counts, so we are checking coverage before stating a complete total.
Is Aniimo on Nintendo Switch?
No. There is no Switch version and none has been announced.
