What Aniimo Egg Heist actually is

Aniimo Egg Heist is a timed extraction run on the Lost Isles. You land next to the Egg Boat, go into a Lost Sanctum, dig an egg out of a nest, roll it back to the boat and evacuate. Only the evacuation counts. Everything you carry before that is at risk, and that one rule shapes every decision in the mode.

This guide covers Team Mode, the co-op side of Egg Heist for one to three players: how to unlock it, how a run plays out, what you lose when it goes wrong, which team to bring and what to buy with your Eggshell Coins.

Egg Heist is Aniimo’s extraction mode. Pawprint’s own support centre, in its Operation: Egg Heist guide, describes Team Mode as the lower-difficulty option, open all day, and the best place to learn the rules. You queue alone or with up to two friends, and each run gives you 20 minutes on the island.

It is a game mode with its own economy. Backpacks, the Attack Amplifier, the Protective Unit and Chips are bought with Eggshell Coins inside the mode and lost inside the mode. Eggshell Coins come from what you find on the island: every item you loot has a coin value. Hatching the eggs you bring out pays in Prismana Shell Shards instead, the currency for Prismana eggs. Silver is the second currency: you get it by selling the items you find, and it pays for offensive and defensive upgrades. Your open-world gear does not come with you. Inside a run your Pathfinder is set to level 60 and the attributes of the Aniimo you bring are brought into line, so an under-levelled team is not the problem it would be in the open world.

The launch version changed the mode more than most systems. Pawprint’s dev letter from 3 September says Egg Heist was substantially improved, with more obtainable egg types and a new high-difficulty Chaos Mode.

How to unlock Egg Heist and its difficulties

You need two things before the mode opens: character level 50 and the Wayfarer III title. Level alone is not enough; without the title the mode stays locked.

Team Mode runs from Normal to Nightmare, with Hard in between, plus Chaos as an extra high-risk tier on top. Each step is gated by your Egg Heist rank:

Normalopen once the mode unlocks
HardRising Egg Scout III
NightmarePro Egg Snatcher IV
ChaosElite Egg Seeker IV · 20,000-coin ticket per run, 20 purchases

Rank comes from rank points, and rank points only come from runs you evacuate from. That is the second time the same rule shows up, and it will not be the last.

How a Team Mode run works

A run has five beats, and the order does not change between difficulties.

1

Land at the Ancient Harbor

Next to the Egg Boat

2

Pick an entrance

Main for flat, side for deep rooms

3

Dig out the egg

Clear the guardians first

4

Twine and roll

Back to the boat, slowly

5

Hand in and evacuate

Nothing counts until then

After the hand-in you can keep farming or leave straight away. Nothing is banked until the evacuation is complete. Staying has a second cost: backpack weight slows you down, so a full bag makes every trip back to the boat longer. You have 20 minutes per run, and a focused Normal run with one egg and an immediate evacuation takes about eight minutes.

Eggs are shared with the whole team, but only when the evacuation succeeds. If the run fails, everyone keeps only what they carried themselves.

One egg or a full clear: what rank points reward

A run with a single egg is not worth as many rank points as a full, valuable clear. Rank points are only awarded for a successful evacuation, and they scale with the value of what you extract. A full backpack is worth more than a thin exit.

To pass a run, though, one of the optional objectives is enough: one egg handed in, or 20,000 Eggshell Coins earned as a team. That is why “one egg, hand it in, get out” is the stable way to farm. It is the safe route, not the maximum-points route, and while you are still learning the map the safe route is the one that pays.

What you lose when a run goes wrong

A knockout costs you your backpack, everything in it and the Egg Heist gear you had equipped. You come back with a standard backpack that has four slots. Solo, nobody can revive you, so a solo knockout is the end of that run’s loot.

Knockoutbackpack, contents and equipped gear lost
Beginner Protectionfirst three runs per difficulty insured
Egg Boat Safestored items survive, but cannot be used in the run

Two systems soften that.

The first is Beginner Protection. Your first three runs on each Team Mode difficulty are insured: gear, Chips, backpack and its contents all survive a failed run. Use those three runs to learn the route, not to push your luck.

The second is the Egg Boat Safe. Items placed in its slots survive a failure. It is unlocked through a talent that costs 10,000 Eggshell Coins, and items sitting in the safe cannot be used during the run, so put in what you want to keep, not what you need to fight with.

Hazards on the Lost Isles

Floor spikes and wall jets deal roughly 500 to 1,000 damage per hit, and a wall jet can push you into the next set of spikes. Walk the trapped corridors slowly and watch where the jets point.

Umbrabow Guardians watch the nests and chests. They can grab you while you open a chest, and mashing the interact button breaks you free.

Cracked walls, rocks and cracked doors can be destroyed, and they often hide chests or whole side rooms. Intact doors stay shut. If a corridor looks like a dead end, check the walls before you turn back. Locked rooms are a different case: they need a key, and the Rusted Iron Key opens the locked rooms in beginner Sanctums.

The best Egg Heist teams

In Egg Heist you only control the Aniimo in slot one. The other three do not fight; each one brings its support skill. So a team here is one fighter and three supports, not a rotation, and the question for every slot after the first is simply what it adds while your fighter does the work.

Two teams cover most runs.

Team A: your starter and a safe shell

Put Helion or Lunara in slot one, then Glacy, Turbo and Leafy behind it. Glacy is a healer in Pawprint’s own index, Turbo is a support and Leafy is a REGEN pick. It is the same starter, Glacy and Turbo core that Pawprint recommends as its first squad, with a second sustain slot for runs where nobody can revive you.

Team B: Magmarex to break through

Put Magmarex in slot one, then Glacy, Dazmand and Leafy. Magmarex is a BREAK Aniimo, and its Fast and Furious mobility knocks away certain obstacles, which is exactly what a Sanctum full of cracked walls and rocks asks for. Glacy and Leafy keep it alive; Dazmand adds a second support.

For the full ranking of which Aniimo to put in slot one and which supports to bring, see the Egg Heist tier list in the Crit Pick Aniimo database. For squads outside Egg Heist, the Aniimo best teams guide collects the seven teams Pawprint itself recommends.

Rewards, Eggshell Coins and the Egg Heist shop

The headline item in the Egg Heist shop is the Mysterious Prismana Egg. At full price it costs 400,000 Eggshell Coins plus 200 Prismana Shell Shards. Two discount slots cut that down, each usable once: 80 per cent off for 80,000 coins and 40 shards, and 50 per cent off for 200,000 coins and 100 shards. Take the 80 per cent slot first; it is the cheapest way to get this egg.

The Umbral Aniimo Egg and the Large Umbral Aniimo Egg hatch Umbral Aniimo with Perfect Potential. The Ruins Aniimo Egg is the one to open for new species, though most of what hatches from it is a regular Aniimo. Every egg you extract shows its rarity by colour, from blue to purple to yellow. Rarer eggs take longer to hatch: they go into a Hatchinator, at an outpost or at home, and hatch on a real-time timer, so you can keep playing while they incubate.

Evacuations from Team Mode also pay out Egg Vouchers, which you can exchange up to ten times a week, and Lucky Chests. The eggs you recover arrive by in-game mail after the run. How many chests you get, how good they are and how many you can earn per day depends on your rank.

Talents worth taking first

Egg Heist has its own talent system: 28 talents in two trees of 14, Personal Growth and Egg Boat Upgrade. They reset every season, so each season starts the same question over.

My order is short:

1

Egg Boat Safe

It turns a wipe into a partial loss, and no other talent changes a failed run that much

2

Scavenger

It cuts the time you spend searching chests, which is the time guardians grab you

3

Swift Egg

The roll back to the boat is the slowest part of every run

4

Tough Egg

It keeps the egg alive on the way back

One trap: Self-Revival needs a living teammate, so it does nothing when you play solo.

FAQ

How do you unlock Egg Heist in Aniimo?

You need character level 50 and the Wayfarer III title. Level 50 on its own leaves the mode locked. Once both are in place, Team Mode opens on Normal, and Hard, Nightmare and Chaos follow as your Egg Heist rank climbs: Rising Egg Scout III for Hard, Pro Egg Snatcher IV for Nightmare, Elite Egg Seeker IV for Chaos.

Can you play Aniimo Egg Heist solo?

Yes. Team Mode takes one to three players, and a solo run follows the same rules. The catch is revival: solo, nobody can pick you up, so a knockout ends the run’s loot. Self-Revival does not help either, because it needs a living teammate. Learn the route solo, then bring friends for the harder tiers.

What happens if you get knocked out in Egg Heist?

You lose your backpack, everything in it and the Egg Heist gear you had equipped, and you continue with a four-slot standard backpack. The exceptions are your first three runs on each difficulty, which Beginner Protection insures, and anything stored in the Egg Boat Safe, which survives the failure.

How long is an Egg Heist run?

Each run gives you 20 minutes. A focused Normal run, one egg and an immediate evacuation, takes about eight minutes, so the timer is rarely the problem early on. It starts to matter on harder tiers or when you stay to farm after the hand-in, because nothing is banked until the evacuation finishes.

Do you get more rank points for extracting more?

Yes. Rank points are only awarded for a successful evacuation, and they scale with the value of what you bring out, so a full backpack earns more than a one-egg exit. One handed-in egg or 20,000 Eggshell Coins earned as a team is still enough to pass the run, which makes it the safer way to farm.

What is the Egg Boat Safe in Aniimo?

It is a set of safe slots on the Egg Boat, unlocked through the Egg Boat Safe talent. Anything placed there survives a failed run. Items in the safe cannot be used during the run, so it is for loot you want to keep, not for gear you still need. It is the first talent worth taking.

How much does the Mysterious Prismana Egg cost?

At full price it costs 400,000 Eggshell Coins and 200 Prismana Shell Shards. Two one-time discount slots bring it down: 80,000 coins and 40 shards at 80 per cent off, and 200,000 coins and 100 shards at 50 per cent off. The 80 per cent slot is the one to use first.
