instruction: do not pick up

Simple, except the store page reads like a government memo. This is not a position for the inquisitive, sensitive information will be handled without question, and the regulations change every morning. Knowing yesterday's rules does not count.

So the job itself is the tension. You are told to follow procedure and ignore whatever you find on those devices. The developers' own demo announcement ends with a single instruction: do not pick up. It is made by Quarter Games and published by Clover Bite.

What players say

Players name Papers, Please and No, I'm Not a Human again and again. What they like most is snooping: reading the messages on the phones, calling the contacts and piecing the lore together yourself. One player found three endings in the demo. The small complaint: some labels on the parts boxes are hard to read.

Try the demo if

  • You liked Papers, Please and rules that change on you
  • You enjoy finding the story yourself

Maybe skip it if

  • You want jump scares and chases
  • You dislike reading small print on screen
