Clovee No. 014

Grass · Neutral Not rideable Day & night
◇ Rarity · Common — "Dubiously Lucky"

Clovee is the Grass/Neutral Pal at No. 014 — a small thing with a clover leaf on its forehead and, per its own Paldeck entry, a family history of being hunted for luck. It is the last of the three early-dex Pals 1.0 added, and it is the most important one: its partner skill is the closest thing the early game has to a free upgrade for your entire base.

Partner skill
Happy Clover — while Clovee is at a base, it increases the Gathering Work Suitability Level of all other Base Pals by +1. It does not stack.

Clovee spawns in the Windswept Hills, day and night. It does not spawn in the World Tree, and there is no Alpha Clovee in the field. It can also be hatched from eggs produced by other Pals.

It is a quiet catch. Attack 65 and Defense 65 mean it puts up almost no fight, and a single Fire Pal ends the argument before it starts — so bring a sphere, not a strategy.

Stats & how they vary

HP80
Attack65
Defense65
Work speed100

Base values before IVs, passives and condensing. Clovee is the worst fighter of the three Pals in this stretch of the dex and it does not matter even slightly. Its Attack and Defense sit close to the floor of the entire roster. It has 80 HP, so it survives a stray Syndicate raid on your base — and that is the only combat requirement it will ever have.

Type matchup · Grass / Neutral
Strong vsGround — from the Grass half. Neutral has no offensive edge at all, so this is the whole list.
Weak vsFire hits the Grass half and Dark hits the Neutral half. Bring a Fire Pal to catch it.
HP 80ATK 65 DEF 65WORK 100
Base stat shape — all work speed, no teeth. Exactly as intended.
IVsHidden HP/Attack/Defense rolls, locked in when you catch or hatch it — worth up to +30%. Catch a few and keep the best.
Passives0–4 traits (e.g. Swift, Ferocious, Lucky) — the biggest controllable swing, inherited through breeding. 1.0 adds powerful World Tree passives with trade-offs (e.g. +50% attack for weaker defense).
Mutation 1.0Breeding can rarely hatch a mutated Pal with higher stats and a unique passive skill. Deluxe Vegetable Cake raises the odds.
Awakening 1.0Spend Radiant Gems from the World Tree to push a favourite past its old stat ceiling.
CondenserFuse duplicates for ★1–★4: +5% per star, up to +20% to all stats, and a stronger partner skill.
LuckyPalworld's "shiny": rare, larger, always carries Lucky (+15% work speed & attack).

Work & drops

Work suitabilities
Planting Lv 1Gathering Lv 1

Planting and Gathering on the same body is a tidy little loop: Clovee plants the berries and then helps pick them. Combined with Happy Clover lifting everyone else's Gathering, a base with one Clovee and one Gumoss two slots up the dex more or less runs its own food supply.

Drops
Berry Seeds

One to two Berry Seeds, every time. The same self-stocking logic as Gumoss: the thing it drops is the thing it plants.

Partner skill: Happy Clover

Read it once more, because it is not a party skill and that is the whole trick.

At the baseNot in your party. Almost every early partner skill asks you to carry the Pal around. Happy Clover asks you to leave it at home and forget about it.
What +1 meansGathering is what harvests your Berry Plantation. Every Pal you own with Gathering Lv 1 becomes Lv 2 while Clovee is on the roster — Lamball, Cattiva, Vixy, Pupperai, Chikipi. The entire starting cast gathers faster because one Pal is standing in the corner being lucky.
Not itselfIt buffs all other Base Pals. Clovee's own Gathering stays at Lv 1. It is a buffer, not a beneficiary.
The catchIt only lifts Pals that already have Gathering. It does not grant the suitability to a Pal without it — Foxparks, which only has Kindling, gets nothing.
StackingIt does not stack. A second Clovee adds a second pair of hands and no second buff.

For a Common Pal you can catch in the first hour, this is one of the best base skills in Palworld. Put it in the box on day one and never take it out.

Active skills

Lv 1Air Cannon · Neutral · power 40 · cooldown 2 — a burst of highly pressurised air.
Lv 7Seed Machine Gun · Grass · power 80 · cooldown 4 — a volley of hard seeds at close range.
Lv 15Seed Mine · Grass · power 120 · cooldown 8 — a deadly seed that explodes on contact.
Lv 22Air Blade · Neutral · power 160 · cooldown 8 — sharp blades of air in a fan shape.
Lv 30Grass Tornado · Grass · power 200 · cooldown 12 — two tornadoes, launched together.
Lv 40Solar Blast · Grass · power 450 · cooldown 20 — charges solar energy, then a powerful beam.
Lv 50Crosswind · Grass · power 500 · cooldown 24 — converging blades of wind in a cutting cross.
Lv 70Wind Burst · Grass · power 600 · cooldown 30 — a massive wind vortex around itself.

Clovee has no exclusive skill — unlike Pupperai one slot down the dex, everything here is shared. Crosswind at level 50 is the only one you will not have seen elsewhere by then.

How to get more Clovee

EasiestLamball + Cremis — both Common, both catchable in the starting region, No. 001 and No. 008 in the dex. The cheapest pair on the list.
Breeds trueClovee + Clovee — best for fishing passives once you have two.
Also worksFoxparks + Gumoss · Clovee + Pengullet · Pupperai + Depresso · Pupperai + Sparkit · Fuack + Pengullet
Breed for passivesSince it never leaves the base, combat passives are wasted. Go for Work Slave, Serious and Artisan — the ones that speed up the Planting and Gathering it actually does.

The story of Clovee

The Paldeck records that some individuals once had three or more leaves on their foreheads; that those with more leaves were regarded as symbols of good fortune and were heavily hunted; and that the species evolved fewer leaves over time as a result.

This is the darkest joke in the early Paldeck, and it is doing real work. The Paldeck title is "Dubiously Lucky". Clovee is a species that evolved away from luck because luck got its ancestors killed — the leaf shrank as a survival trait. Every Clovee you meet is descended from the ones that were not lucky enough to be worth hunting.

And then you catch it anyway and put it in a box to make your berries grow faster. Palworld does this a lot, and it is usually funnier when you do not look directly at it.

Field notes
— from the log of a Pal keeper

Day 4. Found a small green thing with a leaf on its head. It has one leaf. The Paldeck implies this is a good sign for it and a bad sign for its family.

Day 5. Caught it with a Foxparks. Felt unsporting.

Day 8. Put it in the base and immediately noticed the berries coming in faster — not from Clovee. From everyone else. Took me an embarrassing amount of time to work out why.

Day 13. It has never left the base. It has never needed to. Best Pal I own and I have never once taken it anywhere.

Day 20. Bred a second one from Lamball and Cremis. The buff did not double. Worth knowing.

Clovee, answered

Where do I find Clovee in Palworld?

In the Windswept Hills, day and night. It does not spawn in the World Tree, and there is no Alpha version in the field.

What does Happy Clover do?

While Clovee is at a base, it raises the Gathering Work Suitability Level of every other Base Pal by +1. It does not stack, it does not buff Clovee itself, and it only helps Pals that already have Gathering.

Is Clovee good?

As a base Pal, it is one of the best early Pals in the game — Happy Clover upgrades your whole roster's Gathering for free. As a fighter it is close to the worst in the roster. Leave it at home.

What is the easiest way to breed Clovee?

Lamball + Cremis — both are Common and both spawn in the starting region. Clovee + Clovee also breeds true once you have a pair.

What is Clovee weak to?

Fire or Dark, because of its Grass/Neutral typing.

What does Clovee drop?

Berry Seeds, 1–2 per catch or defeat, at 100%.
