Lamball
Where to catch Lamball in Palworld (Windswept Hills), plus its stats, active skills, Fluffy Shield partner skill, drops and how to breed it.
Lamball No. 001
Lamball is the Neutral-element Pal at the very start of the Paldeck — a soft, round base worker you catch in the opening minutes on the Palpagos Islands. It is harmless, better at chores than combat, and the gentlest possible introduction to catching Pals.
Where to catch Lamball
You will run into Lamball in the Plateau of Beginnings, the default starting area in the Windswept Hills region — head down the hill, past the waterfall, and they are tumbling around in the grass.
They do not attack on approach. Whittle one down with a hit or two, then throw a regular Pal Sphere. You can also hatch Lamball from a Common Egg or buy one from a Pal Merchant.
Region: Windswept Hills · Time: day & night · Sphere: regular · Threat: none
Stats & how they vary
Base values (before IVs, passives and condensing). Across the board 70 — Lamball sits near the bottom of the stat table, which is the whole joke of it.
Work & drops
Three level-1 jobs — put a couple on a Berry Plantation and they earn their keep at base while you're off exploring.
Wool for your first cloth and beds. The other drop is exactly as grim as it sounds — Palworld's dark streak, right at No. 001.
Active skills
Lamball learns a full attack kit as it levels — the same soft ball ends up firing beams by level fifty.
The story of Lamball
Lamball's whole tragedy is gravity. Walk it up a hill and it tends to lose its footing and tumble all the way back down, landing dizzy and briefly unable to move — which is exactly why it is so easy to catch, and why so many predators got there first. Generations of that have quietly rolled Lamball down to the very bottom of the food chain.
Paraphrased from Lamball's in-game Paldeck entry.
Day 3. My first Lamball has decided the safest place on the whole island is directly behind my knees. It follows me everywhere at exactly one Lamball-length, and when I stop, it walks into me. Every time. I have stopped apologising.
Day 9. Discovered by accident that it will happily roll down the same slope forty times if there is a berry at the bottom. I am choosing to read this as optimism rather than a complete absence of memory.
Day 22. Put it on shield duty in a scrap it had no business being near. It took the hit, bounced once, and looked genuinely proud of itself. Softest, bravest little idiot I own. Keeping this one.
Lamball, answered
Where do you find and catch Lamball?
In the Windswept Hills, around the Plateau of Beginnings starting area — down the hill and past the waterfall. Weaken one with a wooden club, then aim a regular Pal Sphere at the low-health Lamball. It appears day and night and doesn't fight back.
How do you breed Lamball?
Place Lamball (or a pair of Pals whose combination produces it) in a Breeding Farm to hatch an egg that inherits passive skills and fresh IVs. Repeating this lets you stack strong passives and build a far better Lamball than any you'll catch in the wild.
Is Lamball any good?
As a fighter, no — 70 across HP, Attack and Defense puts it near the bottom of the table. Its value is early-game: three level-1 work suitabilities, wool from a ranch, and the Fluffy Shield partner skill that soaks a few hits while you find your feet.
What does Lamball drop?
Wool and Lamball Mutton. The wool feeds your earliest cloth and bedding recipes; the mutton is Palworld being Palworld.
Can you ride Lamball?
No. Lamball isn't a mount — it's a small, ground-bound base worker. For riding you'll want an early mount like Direhowl or Eikthyrdeer instead.
