What Planet Zoo 2 is

Frontier Developments has it down for Tuesday, October thirteenth, on Steam. The sequel's concrete additions are fully aquatic species, flying birds with buildable aviaries, and Wildlife Reserves where you can release animals beyond your zoo.

That changes the design problem. An aquarium needs a different habitat from a lion enclosure, and a reserve gives conservation an actual space to build rather than just a button to press.

Frontier also describes expanded animal behavior, construction tools and modes for career, franchise and sandbox play. Those are promises from the store page, not a Crit Pick judgment on how well the systems balance. If you love building habitats and watching animals interact with them, this is the obvious headliner. If you mainly want a quick, low-maintenance decoration game, the management side may be the part to examine first.
