What Valor Mortis is
One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner, develops it; Lyrical Games and One More Level publish it. You play a former soldier from Napoleon's army, brought back into a violent world of monsters and supernatural abilities.
The hook is a first-person soulslike fight. You are close enough to see the attack coming straight at you, and the developer is working with the kind of movement that made Ghostrunner distinct.
That could make a familiar combat structure feel very different. It could also make enemy reads harder, which is exactly what we would need to test before calling it a success. There is no final-release verdict in this preview. If you want deliberate fights but are tired of watching them from behind your character's shoulder, Valor Mortis is one to watch closely.
