Celaray Lux No. 007B

Water · Electric Size M Glider Day & night
◇ Rarity · Common — a desert variant

Celaray Lux is the Water/Electric variant of Celaray at No. 007B. It looks like the same manta with hazard stripes, and it is easy to write off as a recolour. It is not: it is a strictly better glider, it runs your generator, and it lives roughly twenty levels away from where you found the original.

Partner skill
Jolt Glider — with Celaray Lux in your party, your glide takes no fall damage and holds high-speed gliding for longer. The in-game text is identical to the base Celaray's Zephyr Glider — but the underlying numbers are not.

Not on the beach. Celaray Lux lives in the desert — the Desiccated Desert and the water around Oasis Isle — at roughly level 26–29. Bring gear for the desert night.

Three easier routes exist. You can fish for it around Oasis Isle and the desert waters (there is also a known spot just north of the Sealed Realm of Terraria island; at a base Large Fishing Pond it hooks at roughly 9.5%), hatch it from a Damp Egg, or simply breed it. The alpha, Sky-Swimming Fish, is the tribe boss version.

Stats & how they vary

HP80
Attack75
Defense80
Work speed100

Base values before IVs, passives and condensing. Against the base Celaray this is +5 Shot Attack and nothing else — the Lux is not a combat upgrade. Its value is the glider table and the electricity, not its damage.

Type matchup · Water · Electric
Strong vsFire and Water — the dual typing hits both for extra damage.
Weak vsGrass and Ground hit it for extra damage.
HP 80ATK 75 DEF 80WORK 100
Base stat shape — identical bulk to Celaray, a sliver more range.
IVsHidden HP/Attack/Defense rolls, locked in when you catch or hatch it — worth up to +30%. Catch a few and keep the best.
Passives0–4 traits (e.g. Swift, Ferocious, Lucky) — the biggest controllable swing, inherited through breeding. 1.0 adds powerful World Tree passives with trade-offs (e.g. +50% attack for weaker defense).
Mutation 1.0Breeding can rarely hatch a mutated Pal with higher stats and a unique passive skill. Deluxe Vegetable Cake raises the odds.
Awakening 1.0Spend Radiant Gems from the World Tree to push a favourite past its old stat ceiling.
CondenserFuse duplicates for ★1–★4: +5% per star, up to +20% to all stats, and a stronger partner skill.
LuckyPalworld's "shiny": rare, larger, always carries Lucky (+15% work speed & attack).

Work & drops

Work suitabilities
Watering Lv 1Transporting Lv 1Generating Electricity Lv 2

Three jobs, and the third is the one that matters. Generating Electricity Lv 2 is real base utility — power is the early bottleneck for refrigerators, electric furnaces and production lines — and it arrives on a Pal you were already going to carry for the glide.

Drops
Aquatic Pal Fluids

Aquatic Pal Fluids, one to two, every time — the same item Fuack and Azurobe drop. It feeds early Water crafting, but nobody farms Celaray Lux for loot.

Why the Lux is the better glider

The two partner skills read identically in-game. The performance tables do not — at every level where both are known, the Lux is faster, sinks slower and burns less stamina.

★1Max speed 700 (Celaray 600) · stamina drain 9.5 (10)
★2Max speed 850 (750) · gravity 0.013 (0.014) · drain 8 (8.5)
★3Gravity 0.011 (0.012) · drain 7 (7)
★4Max speed 1150 (1050) · gravity 0.009 (0.010)
★5Max speed 1300 (1200) · gravity 0.007 (0.008) · drain 3.5 (4)

Values in brackets are the base Celaray for comparison. A few cells are blank in the game data and are left out rather than guessed. The base-work difference is an addition, not a swap: the Lux keeps Watering and Transporting and adds Generating Electricity Lv 2. If you are going to condense one glider to five stars, it should be this one.

Active skills

Unlike the base Celaray's pure Water kit, the Lux leans hard into Electric.

Lv 1Thunder Spear — fires a high-speed lightning spear straight ahead.
Lv 7Shockwave — quickly discharges electricity, shocking those around it.
Lv 15Bubble Blast — fires numerous bubbles that slowly pursue an enemy.
Lv 22Lightning Streak — generates a lightning bolt that moves forward in a line.
Lv 30Splash — generates a column of water that travels in a straight line.
Lv 40Torrential Blast — fires a high-pressure stream of water; after a short delay it branches left and right.
Lv 50Lightning Bolt — charges electric energy before blasting enemies with a powerful shock.
Lv 70Thunderstorm — generates a huge tornado of lightning.

Breeding combos

If you do not want to cross the desert at level 29, breed one. Celaray Lux has a verified unique combination — not a rank average, so the pairing is reliable.

Unique Celaray + Univolt = Celaray Lux Celaray Lux + Celaray Lux = Celaray Lux Also hatches from a Damp Egg

Both parents are cheap: Celaray drifts along the starting coastline, Univolt is a common Electric Pal. Since you will want the Lux at five stars for the glide anyway, breeding a stack of them beats farming the desert.

The story of Celaray Lux

Its Paldeck entry is quietly grim: “Its flashy patterns help it attract a partner. But after a long history of electrocution incidents involving Celaray Lux, yellow-and-black stripes are now seen across the island as a sign of danger.”

So the pattern that evolved to attract a mate now reads, island-wide, as a warning label. The base Celaray's entry ends its own journey when it finds a partner. The Lux's ends other people's.

Field notes
— from the log of a Pal keeper

Day 31. Crossed into the desert expecting sand and got a manta ray. It was hovering over a dune, striped like a hazard sign, and I approached it exactly as carelessly as you would expect. I have learned what the stripes mean.

Day 33. Fished one out of the water near Oasis Isle instead, which felt like cheating and took nine attempts. Worth it.

Day 44. Condensed it to five stars. It runs the generator, the lights stay on, and when I step off the plateau it carries me further than the blue one ever did. I have retired the original. Sorry.

Celaray Lux, answered

Where do you find Celaray Lux?

In the desert — the Desiccated Desert and around Oasis Isle — at roughly level 26–29, day or night. You can also fish for it there (about 9.5% at a Large Fishing Pond), hatch it from a Damp Egg, or breed it.

How do you breed Celaray Lux?

Celaray + Univolt. That is a verified unique combination, so the pairing produces the Lux reliably. Two Celaray Lux also breed a Celaray Lux if you are stacking passives.

Is Celaray Lux better than Celaray?

As a glider, yes — faster, sinking slower and draining less stamina at every condense level (1300 max speed at five stars against 1200). At your base, also yes: it keeps Watering and Transporting and adds Generating Electricity Lv 2. In combat, no — it gains five points of Shot Attack and nothing else.

What is Celaray Lux's partner skill?

Jolt Glider — no fall damage, longer high-speed gliding. The in-game text matches the base Celaray's Zephyr Glider, but the underlying numbers are better.

Was Celaray Lux renumbered in Palworld 1.0?

Yes. It was No. 025B before 1.0 and is No. 007B now.
