Teafant — Palworld Paldeck No. 011
Where to find Teafant in Palworld (the starting hills and caves), how its Soothing Shower partner skill auto-heals you at low health, plus stats, skills, drops and breeding.
Teafant No. 011
Teafant is the Water Pal at No. 011 — a small blue elephant with a running nose that you meet in the opening hills. It is not a fighter and it does not pretend to be. What it is, is the earliest automatic heal in the game: keep it in your party and it patches you up the moment a fight turns against you — no button, no timing, no thought required.
Where to find Teafant
Teafant lives in the starting region, and there is almost always one nearby. The game data places it in three bands: the open green country at roughly level 2–4, where you meet your first one; the Hillside Cavern and Isolated Island Cavern at level 6–9 and again at level 10–13; and its alpha, the Adorable Watering Can, as the Teafant tribe boss.
It hatches from a Damp Egg. Because it is so common in the first hour, catching one is faster than breeding — but the breeding line is unusually clean, so it is worth knowing (below).
Region: starting hills & caves · Time: day & night · Sphere: regular · Threat: low
Stats & how they vary
Base values before IVs, passives and condensing. This is one of the frailest, weakest lines in the dex — a 60 Shot Attack is near the floor, and nothing here changes at level 80. You do not field Teafant to fight; at endgame its HP lands somewhere around 3,600–4,500, and its damage stays as irrelevant as it started. It earns its slot with the heal and the watering can, not the stat sheet.
Work & drops
One job, level 1 — but it is the job that keeps your berry plantation and ranch running before you have anything better. Teafant is the game’s first dedicated waterer; park it at a farm and it earns its keep on day one.
A single guaranteed drop — the same Aquatic Pal Fluids that Fuack, Celaray and Croajiro hand over, used for early cooling and crafting. Nothing rare, but reliable.
Partner skill: Soothing Shower
Most early partner skills ask something of you. This one asks for nothing.
It is the passive counterpart to Herbil’s revive one slot up the dex: Herbil brings you back after you go down; Teafant keeps you from going down in the first place.
Active skills
A pure Water kit with one Ground detour — light early, heavy artillery by the end.
The kit is respectable on paper — but it is bolted to a body with 60 Shot Attack, so those big late moves hit far softer than the numbers suggest. Teafant learns Hydro Laser; it just can’t sell it.
How to breed Teafant
Teafant hatches from a Damp Egg, and it is common enough in the starting hills that catching is usually faster. But the pairing is unusually clean, so it is worth knowing.
Teafant has no unique combination, so the child is decided by averaging both parents’ breeding rank. Chikipi sits at 3080 and Vixy at 3060 — their average is 3070, Teafant’s rank exactly, so no other Pal is closer and the pairing lands every time. Both parents are your neighbours in the dex (Vixy is No. 007), so you likely have them in the first afternoon. Breed one only when you want specific passives on a Teafant you mean to condense for the heal.
The story of Teafant
Palworld usually hides something bleak behind something cute. Teafant is the rare case where the joke is just a joke — and a slightly gross one.
Its Paldeck entry is a straight bit of comedy: “Large amounts of water pour from what is thought to be its nose, though some say that it is, in fact, just snot. This has sparked a fierce debate among Pal scholars.” The entire waterworks of your early base — every berry plot Teafant keeps alive — may be running on elephant snot, and the game refuses to confirm or deny it. Its alpha is the Adorable Watering Can, which commits fully to the reading: the Pal is the watering can, nose and all. There is something honest about it — the cutest early Pal is also the one you are quietly a little grossed out by, and it heals you anyway.
Day 2. Caught a small blue elephant. It will not stop leaking. I have chosen not to investigate the source.
Day 9. Dropped to a sliver of health against a pack and the elephant just … fixed it. No prompt, no button. I looked back and it was standing there looking pleased with its own nose.
Day 26. It waters the entire berry plantation single-handed and tops up my health once per fight. I have read the Paldeck entry. I water my crops with it anyway.
Teafant, answered
Where do you find Teafant?
In the starting region — the open green country at level 2–4, and the early caves (Hillside Cavern, Isolated Island Cavern) at level 6–13, day or night. Its alpha, the Adorable Watering Can, is the tribe boss.
What is Teafant’s partner skill?
Soothing Shower — when your Health drops below 30%, Teafant automatically restores 20–40% of it, scaling with condensing. It does not stack and has a 120-second cooldown.
Is Teafant worth keeping?
Early, yes — for two reasons that have nothing to do with combat: it is your first Watering Lv 1 worker, and its auto-heal is free insurance in the exact stretch where a bad hit means a long walk back. As a fighter it is one of the weakest Pals in the game.
What does Teafant drop?
Aquatic Pal Fluids, one, every time — the same item Fuack, Celaray and Croajiro drop.
How do you breed Teafant?
Chikipi + Vixy — their breeding ranks average to exactly Teafant’s (3070), so the pairing lands every time. But Teafant is so common in the starting hills that catching one is usually faster.
Does Teafant have a work suitability?
One: Watering Lv 1. It is the game’s first dedicated waterer, and that single job is what earns it a base slot before anything better comes along.
Was Teafant renumbered in Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Teafant was No. 016 before 1.0 and is No. 011 now. Any guide still listing #016 is running on Early Access data.
